Carney’s Community works within current Data Protection guidelines to keep your personal data safe. UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) guidelines have been in place from 2020, following the departure of the UK from the European Union, the UK GDPR follows the same regulations as the EU GDPR. This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Carney’s Community collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the https://www.carneyscommunity.org website (“Site”).
- User information
Personal identification information
We may collect personal identification information from site Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, subscribe to the newsletter or fill out a form. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name and email address, for example if you choose to sign up for our newsletter. Users may, however, choose to visit our Site anonymously. We can collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

Carney’s Community collects and uses Users personal information for the following purposes:
- To improve our Site. We strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from Users. Our lawful basis for processing data in this way is that it is necessary for our legitimate interest of administering and protecting our business and our website.
- To send periodic emails. The email address Users provide will only be used to respond to their enquiries, and/or other requests or questions.
- If Users decide to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. Our lawful basis for processing data in this way is your opted-in consent, via the Mail chimp link we send you when you choose to subscribe.
- If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, they may do so by contacting us or selecting the ‘Unsubscribe from this list’ option contained in the email.
How we protect your information
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information and data stored on our Site.
Sharing your personal information
We do not sell, trade, or rent Users’ personal or non-personal identification information to others including with our business partners, affiliates and advertisers.
Keeping your information
We will hold data for as long as needed to carry out our legitimate business processes.
- Third party websites
Users may find advertising or other content on our Site that link to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.

- Monitoring and review
Carney’s Community may update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the “policy reviewed” date on this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes, to keep informed on how we use the personal information we collect. It is the User’s responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
This policy will be reviewed annually to judge its effectiveness and will be updated in accordance with changes in the law or good practice. Any questions about the policy should be directed to the DPO, via info@carneyscommunity.org.
