Come along to an event at the Clink restaurant in Brixton Prison on 6th October in support of Carney’s Community.
The evening will commence with a non-alcoholic drinks reception from 6.30pm, followed by a four course dinner served at 7pm, with talks along with a prize draw to win a number of donated prizes. Money raised from the prize draw will then be donated to Carney’s Community and the DM Thomas foundation. Both do exceptional work in helping offenders back into employment in the UK hospitality industry.
We expect to have a couple of famous boxers in attendance, along with the Wandsworth Mayor. Dedicated parking facilities will be available for the evening.
Tickets are priced at just £50 per person (incl. VAT) and a limited number are available to purchase by emailing brixton@theclinkrestaurant.com or via this page.
The Clink Restaurant at HMP Brixton is an innovative approach to rehabilitation. It offers a unique dining experience and is staffed by prisoners working towards City & Guilds NVQs in Food Preparation, Food Service and Customer Service) at HMP Brixton.
Carney’s Community has developed a relationship with Anthony Marshall, Head Chef at The London Hilton Park Lane Hotel after he visited one of our participants who was serving a sentence in HMP Brixton at the time. That participant has now just started his apprenticeship (having been released two weeks ago).
