Every year Carney’s signs up for the London 10k run in order to raise money for Carney’s Community. Last year it was a tough competition amongst the staff as Giz and Junior from the coaching team competed with Arthur, our Lead Youth worker for the fastest Carney’s participant. (special mention to Sarah and Tracy who rose above petty competition and crossed the line together).
This year, it is members of Carney’s Community boxing sessions who will be taking on the challenge in our place! They have all been training hard, both boxing and running and are preparing for the big day this Sunday.
Please do think about sponsoring them and making all the hard work and effort worth it! All the money raised will go directly towards us being able to continue to run free boxing sessions for the most disadvantaged and hard-to-reach young people in the community.
Please donate if you can
We have set up an online fundraising page where you can donate quickly and easily – please give generously! You can find it here.
If you can’t donate, come along and support!
There are two spots for designated supporters where you can come and cheer along the runners. (You can view them on the course map here).
There will be some Carney’s supporters watching from the Charing Cross supporters section, so look out for the Carney’s Community T-shirts!
If you would like to arrange to meet the supporters at the event, please e-mail us here.
